Philipp Posch from POSCH Preview creates highly detailed BIM models from existing objects.
For the new website, we were able to visualize the entire process as a 3D animated video.
The idea behind it was simple: Many people know what a laser scan is. However, very few people can imagine how this results in a finished BIM model.
That is exactly why the animation shows the process step by step. From scan to point cloud to final model.
Technical processes in particular are often difficult to explain.
A good 3D video makes complex processes immediately understandable. This saves explanatory work and shows within a few seconds what it is actually about.
Visual communication often works better than long texts, especially when it comes to topics such as BIM, architecture or digital inventory.
The animation shows the entire process in a compact way:
This makes it immediately clear how digital models are created from real buildings.
Our focus was deliberately not on effects or exaggerated presentation.
The video should be clear, modern and easy to understand. Especially when it comes to technical services, this is often more important than as much animation as possible.
The project with POSCH Preview shows how helpful 3D animations can be for topics that require explanation.
Within a few seconds, you can understand the entire process from laser scan to the finished BIM model.
That was exactly the aim of the video.
